Chirag Jhaveri, MD is a retina specialist at Retina Consultants of Austin, an investigator at Retina Research Center, and Vice-Chair for the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research network (, a NEI/NIH funded research network. Dr. Jhaveri was raised in Houston, TX and completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine. He finished his vitreoretinal fellowship training at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. Dr. Jhaveri enjoys training and educating current and future medical students in the latest advances in the field of ophthalmology. He is part of the community teaching faculty with Texas A&M College of Medicine, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and the Health Careers Mentorship Program at the University of Texas at Austin. His office also provides elective months for interns at Brackenridge Hospital who have an interest in expanding their experience in ophthalmology or are future ophthalmology residents.
