Erin Andrews is a clinical associate professor at Dell Medical School. She is supervisory psychologist and co-director of psychology training at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System and an adjunct associate professor at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. She received a doctorate in clinical psychology from Wright State University and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Michigan State University. She is board certified in rehabilitation psychology. Andrews has published 15 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and presented more than 45 professional lectures on disability topics related to her areas of research interest in disability culture, identity and inclusion. She is past co-chair of the APA Committee on Disability Issues in Psychology and past member-at-large of the Division of Rehabilitation Psychology. She is chair of the Division 22 Special Interest Group of Psychologists with Disabilities.

Andrews has completed innovative work to assess and address the needs of parents with disabilities, a marginalized population that has difficulty getting access to health care. She is a co-founder of the Disabled Parenting Project (DPP), a resource for support and information for parents and prospective parents with a wide range of disabilities as well as professional tools related to disability and parenthood. This work is part of Parents Empowering Parents: National Research Center for Parents with Disabilities and their Families, a five-year, $2.5 million National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) grant for which Andrews serves as a consultant. Her advocacy work in this area includes representing the American Psychological Association (APA) during a 2013 congressional briefing regarding parents with disabilities and participating in a White House forum on the civil rights of parents with disabilities in May 2016.

Andrews received the 2013 APA Division 22 Early Career Practice Award, and the 2015 James Besyner Early Career Award for Distinguished Contributions to VA Psychology from the Association of VA Psychology Leaders. In 2016, she was honored with the Division 18 Psychologists in Public Service Early Career Achievement Award, and the American Board of Professional Psychology Early Career Psychologist Service Award. Andrews serves as a peer reviewer for several disability-related journals and is a member of the editorial boards of Rehabilitation Psychology, Training and Education in Professional Psychology, and Sexuality & Disability.
