Lloyd Berg is an associate professor and division chief of psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Dell Medical School. He is a board certified clinical health psychologist and specializes in consultation-liaison psychology and interprofessional behavioral health training. Berg received his bachelor's degree in psychology and master's and doctorate in counseling psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. He served as behavioral science director of the Austin Medical Education Programs Family Medicine Residency and co-founded Austin's first health psychology specialty group.

Berg is a fellow and past president of the American Academy of Clinical Health Psychology. His honors include the Outstanding Contributions to Clinical Health Psychology Award from the American Psychological Association's Society for Health Psychology. He also conducts research on musician mental health and is past board chair of the SIMS Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing mental health services to the Austin music community.
